What a service involves
A service is a thorough check of your boiler and its safety devices by a Gas Safe registered engineer. It typically covers:
- A visual inspection of the boiler, flue and pipework.
- Opening the casing to inspect and clean the key internal components.
- Checking gas pressure, combustion and that the boiler is burning safely.
- Testing the controls and safety devices.
- A clear report on anything that needs attention.
Why service every year
An annual service helps your boiler run efficiently, extends its working life and keeps it safe. Most manufacturers also require yearly servicing to keep the warranty valid, so it is worth keeping a record.
It is also the best time to spot wear before it causes a breakdown.
Servicing for landlords
If you let a property, we can combine the boiler service with your annual landlord gas safety certificate in one visit.

Questions
How often should my boiler be serviced?
Once a year. Regular servicing keeps it safe and efficient and is usually needed to keep the manufacturer’s warranty valid.
Can you service my boiler and do a landlord certificate at the same time?
Yes. For rental properties we can do both in one visit.
